kkajner: Kajner/Bator
I am a Grandson of Ferenc Kajner/Erzsabet Bator from Saskatchewan, Canada, and found your posting when I was fooling around on the internet and searched "Kajner". I don't know of any link pages to Kajner, or Bator, but a distant relative did a family tree in about 1999, and I have some info on that. What is your link to the Kajner/Bator inquiry on this site?

Jarosław Bator: Re: Kajner/Bator
Hello, Unfortunately I represent polish line. Family moved to Polish Galicia from Austrian-Hungary in 16th century???
I found the earliest Bator listed in 1792, in small village close to Lesko. Then after some generations, when Poland lost independence in 18th cent. they moved to the U.S., Canada, France, Austria-Hungary Emp. etc. I found many interested details at Ancestry.com. There also is some info about Bators from Szepes in Austro-Hungary Emp, but I cannot find anything more. I can send you my research, if you wish. Regards, Jerry

Joyce: Re: Kajner/Bator
Bator came from Klukno, Slovakia about 1900 to Western PA.... United PA. A Bator married a Tobis, also from Klukno, Slvoakia. This is part of my genealogy. I have been researching for several years. The Bators and Tobis worked in the coal mines. I believe the first Tobis arrived in the late 1890's to the United PA area. The Bator and Tobis families moved to Farrell, PA.
Please contact me for more information.
Sincerely,
Joyce

Kedves Betti!
Ne haragudj, de nem volt a Bátor felmenőid között szarvasi lakos?
