Otto Berk: Beck famiily in Ungvar
My mother's family Beck lived in Ungvar before WW II and even WW I. Some came to the US (Scranton PA) but most stayed in Europe. Can anyone provide me with further information on Beck family's in Ungvar (Uzhgorod)

Unfortunatately, the LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) were not allowed to film the church records so you will have to hire a researcher in Ukraine to research for you.

horvntk: Magdalena Beck
I am searching for my ancestor Magdalena Beck and any of her relatives. She was born before 1830 and married Georg Scheib Nov. 7, 1854 in Bacsalmas. Her parents were Josef Beck and Margarethe Meisl. She had siblings: Anton, David and Martin.

Beck Jakab wife's: Erzsebet Magyar,
their children are: Rosalia Beck, Aranka, Lajos, Frigyes, Eta, Maria (nickname: Mandi), Iren.
Rosalia Beck was born in 1899, Lajos Beck was born in 1893. I don't know the others.
Beck Jakab was a bricklayer, a builder, I think.

If you have some information, please help.

As of right now I can trace my Becks back to Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany. I have not found any from Budapest, yet. Some of the Becks in my family tree are Magdalena b. 1831, her parents Josef b. 1802 and Margarethe Meisl b.1801, Josef's parents: Anton b. 1764 and Anna Katharina Morell b. 1774. Anton's parents: Michael b. 1738 and Katharina Reuther b. 1738. Michael's parents: Kaspar birthdate unknown and Magdalena Schilling birthdate unknown. Are any of these in your family tree?

Keresem Beck Katharina (szül. 1890.) és Nichter Johann (sz.1884)leszármazottait. Én Johann Nichter édesapjának, Nichter Sebastian testvérének vagyok leszármazottja. Ez a család Baranya megyében, Nagyárpádon élt.
Minden információnak, képnek nagyon örülnék , nekem is sok adatom van már erről a családról.

Ashcan: Looking for family in Budapest
I was wondering if anyone could help me locate my cousins who live in Budapest. Their names are Kazmer and Zita Domjan, who I think are both engineers somewhere in Pest. Also, they have a couple daughters, one who's name is Andrea and should be around 23. If anyone has any idea how I can find them because google search is obviously not helping, that would be great!

Családunk egyik tagja: Schadl Theresia (szül. 1841. június 15. Győr) feleségül ment Beck János devecseri földbirtokoshoz 1863. január 26-án Győrben.

Nem tudom, hogy születtek-e gyermekeik. Ők a rokonaim lennének.

Beck András vagyok édesapám Beck Károly akinek van egy Imre nevű testvére. Nagyapámat Beck Imrének hívták, az Ő édesapját(én dédapámat) pedig Beck Lajosnak. A nagyapámék Borszörcsökön(egy Somló vidéki kis faluban)nevelkedtek, aztán később még éltek Keszthelyen, Pápán, Veszprémben.
Ha bárki tud valami aprócska kis információt az őseimről, rokonaimról,a családról, kérem írjon és vegyük fel a kapcsolatot.

My daa was born in NY in the usa and he really had very few Becks that he knew or we knew. One cousin did have a large farm in either CT OR UPSTATE NY .

My family, Beck lived in Ungvar pre WW II and WW I. there was an uncle who immigrated to America along with his sister. the great uncle's name was Marcu Beck and he was given land near Bufallo NY and raised chickens there. His sister Ida married an American who lived in Scranton PA.

Their father was Jacob Beck. The whole famly is Jewish and of course most of them, the old and the young were gassed and burned in the spring of 1944, between Pesach and Shavuot.
