ginny olsen: Elizabeth Bednar
I am looking for information on my Grandmother, Elizabeth Bednar. She may have gone by the name of Lizzie. She was born in Hungary on Sept 15, 1882. I've been told that her family worked with horses with nobility. I'm looking for any information. She married Charles Soltis in the USA in 1904.

A size of Hungary :
http://users.erols.com/mwhite28/austhung.htm Did she come thru Ellis Island? www.ellisislandrecords.org
Here a first name translation website:

Was she naturalized citizen? Did she have social security numbers? http://ssdi.rootsweb.com Those two forms plus few others would have a place of birth. You need a place of birth to proceed with the research.
