valerie: anna bednarik
I am searching for ANNA BEDNARIK. All I know of her is this: born: 1794 Siroke Saris
died: June 12, 1854 Tarcza, Hungary
She married STEPHANUS SAXA. Her son was John Saksa (Joannes Saxa) born in 1840 who married Anna Soltis (or Soltesz).

Zlatica : Re: anna bednarik
Here you have a village named Siroke which is in Saris region of Slovak Republic.
On the old megye map click on Saros

The village of Tarcza is Torysa and too in Saris region of Slovak Republic.

The village of Siroke's phone book is listing BEDNARIK. Most likely your distant relatives.
Most likely another distant relative in the village Torysa by the name SAKSA.

A surname S'OLTES, S'OLTIS, S'OLTYS does list in this area code 51 where Siroke falls.

David: Re: anna bednarik
Hi Anna,

My great, great grandfather's family -- BALOGA / BALOG / BALOGH /ETC. lived in the SIROKE parish, and there are BEDNARIK's which are part of the extended family clan. While ZLATICA (an angel who has helped me out on other occassions) may be correct, I would suggest searching for your SAXA line in the nearby village of KALAVA (KALYAVA), which is part of the KLUKNAVA parish. The reason for this is that the SAXA (SZAXA, SAKSA) surname appears numerous times as godparents in my ancestor's family in the village of KALAVA, and is probably part of my own lineage. Please feel free to write me directly at David1Law -a-t- aol -d-o-t- com (the "1" is a "one"). I hope to hear from you.

Best regards,

David
