I just read your email, and although from 2007, am hoping you're still willing to share the info you have on the Bobak family tree. My mother's maiden name was Bobak and she was from Jaszarokszallas. I wonder if there's a connection there?
She and my father left Hungary for Canada in 1956, so I was born here. I have been back several times though and have been to Jaszarokszallas and met my Bobak relatives there.
My grandfather was Sandor Bobak and was born probably around the turn of the last century (his wife, my grandmother was born in 1900 so he must have been around the same age or a bit older). The story I've always heard was that he was orphaned when young and raised by 2 aunts.
Anyhow, I would be interested to learn what your father has uncovered as your Bobak family tree and whether my relatives fit in there somehow.
