	Minci: Chodánics I have traced my Hadanich/Hadanics ancestry to the late 18th Century near Lake Balaton, Somogy Megye. My research indicates that the name may have originated from the former Ungvár and Bereg Megye and that people with this name and similar variations may have been Ruthenian. 	Minci: Re: Chodanics/Hodánics That is the area where many people with this name have come from. Csaba is a Hungarian name and you are using Hungarian accents in the spelling of your full name. Do you live in Hungary, Ukraine or elsewhere? I have not seen the surname spelled with the accented á before. I would like to discuss the name and its origins further with you.
