17 CZANNERs passed thru Ellis Island and most of them were from a town named Nemetmokra and Oro...mokra/ Oroszmokra .

The town of Nemetmorkra and Oroszmokra is in Maramaros megye and at present in Ukraine.

Elizabeth: Czanner

I am a member of the Czaner family-we write our name with one n.
I was born in Hungary, but my Grandpa was born in Bulgaria and he came to Hungary in the early 1910's. He lived on being a farmer.
His brother left Bulgaria for America prior my Grandpa came to Hungary, at last his family settled in Mexico.I met them some 30 years ago, but for today after the death of my Grandpa the contact has been lost.
May be you are originated from the same family?
