My grandmother's name is Catherine Dankulov, we are looking for information about her family. Her parents came to the United States in the early 1900's. She was born in 1916 in Connecticut.

You need to locate a name of a town for your ancestor in order to proceed with the research.

Take a look in Ellis Island website as from where the DANKULOVs were.
There were 4 Dankulovs and they listed themselves as being Serbian. That might be a clue. What language did your ancestor speak? Were they Serbian Orthodox?
