nandor40: Re: searching for Dreiszker's ?
I believe that my Dreisziger ancestors and the ancestors of the Dreiszkers are related, possibly even the same people. They all come from the village of Frankenau, Austria, before 1920 Franko or Repcesarud Hungary. I have just gone through the registers of Franko, from 1827 to 1895. There are many Dreiszkers listed there. At first the priests called them Dreiszikers, later they left out the second "i", so they became Dreiszkers. The 1715 Hungarian census found 4 Draisziger families in Franko. These families must be the ancestors of both the Dreiszigers and the Dreiszkers. Do you know how the name Dreissiger originated? If you wish, write to me in Franch -- I can read french with some difficulty (come une vache espagnol). Nandor Dreisziger
