He married Theresa Csorba in 1884 and had 4 children: Emelia "Millie" (b 1878 in Hungary), Marion "Mamie" (b 1881), Charles (b 1885 in Trenton, NJ) & Elisabeth Paulina (b 1886 in Chicago, IL). John was over 6 feet tall and was a household guard in the palace of Emporer Franz Joseph of Austria-Hungary. He immigrated to the US in 1884. John's sister lived on south side of Chicago and had daughters Anna Hobbs and Margaret Hobbs. He also had a brother Charles Eberth. |
