hello everyone who is named eggenhoffer...i was born in slovak republic...now i live in prague and i would like to know something more about history of my family...cause i lack all information..we r just 4 members of family and im the last woman born with this name in whole czechoslovakia...if you have some info..contact me pls

this eggenhofer in Velky Krtis is my father...i was just wondering about different changes of this name...there are eggenhofer, eggenhoffer or even egenhofer...i dont know if these r different families..or its just different interpretation of name...e.g. to my birth certificate they wrote me 2 g and 2 f...

It might be all in interpretation / pronounciation and then it depends on the German grammar as this is a German sounding name.

let me reply although my surname is EGGENHOFFNER, originally with the umlaut upon the "o". I could check origins from Wurzburg, Germany (end of 1700), with presences in Trieste (italy) over the whole 1800 century.
