| plafleur: Fancsalszki in Illinois and Rakacza Szend | I am researching my wife's side, her maiden name is Fancsalszki. We don't know much about this family, but what we do know is this. Her grandfather, John (Janos) Fancsalszki was born in Pennsylvania in 1903 to Istvan and Anna Iroczky. We think Istvan and Anna were from Barakony. Istvan and Anna came to the US around 1900, had 2 boys, John and Istvan raised them to adulthood then went back home to Hungary to Barakony. We assume that is where they are originally from. John went back and forth from Hungary to the US over a few years then finally went there to marry Katalin Gajdos. Katalin was born in Rakacza Szend in 1916.
We don't know much about this family so any help anyone can be would be apprecited. I would love to get more generations, more family connections, family history, copies of marriage/birth/death certificates. |
