JAN: FRANZ FELLENCZ
Looking for information on ancesters of Franz Fellencz from Timisvor. He came to US in 1912 at the age of 18. He married Josephine Beiszer from the same area but different town. Both lived in Huntingdon Valley near Philadelphia PA.
He was a barber. His name was changed to Frank Fellenz to make it more "American".

Franz's father was Jakob Fellencz and mother was Katherina Funk. Joshephine's father was Nikolaus Bieszer and mother was Anna Schmidt. That is a far back as I can go.

Photo is wedding photo of Franz and Josephine circa 1917

Jan: Re: FRANZ FELLENCZ
Yes I have posted on other boards and found one or two distant relatives who have very little information also. And I know about the name change of the city so got the spelling mixed up when I wrote the post. It would be a lot easier if I knes the language!!

Thanks for your post. I appreciate all the information I can get. I know there was a wealth of information in the family but the people who had it have died and it is lost.
Add to that the fact that we, as a family, didn't do a lot of interaction with my father's side the information just didn't get passed along.

I have been fortunate to be in contact with a distant relative in Texas who is from the Bieszer side. She has been researching the Bieszer connection and has sent me some photos and what she knows. She doesn't have much information, though.

It seems that Josephine's mother, and possibly her father, was raised in a Catholic orphange. That seems to put an end to finding information on that line. I don't even know which orphanage and if it survived.

Thanks again for your input.

Your welcome.

Check into church records in LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) site.
Maybe there is a mailing list that you can sign up.
The information is out there it just that it will take time and some money to retrieve it.
5 FELLENCZs and 8 FELENCZs in www.ellisislandrecords.org
Use gold form www.stevemorse.org to find people (surnames) that came from Temesvar.
