kohegyi: Re: krompach
I have read your search for Flachbarts with roots in Krompach. My great grandfather, Gyula Flachbart (see picture) was born in Krompach in 1874, and his father was also born there in 1836. I also have knowledge that at least one brother of my great grandfather (Albin Flachbart) emigrated to the US (New York) and possibly another brother (Kálmán or Coloman Flachbart) also settled there. Should this information be meaningful to you, I would be happy to exchange further information.

kohegyi: Re: krompach
Dear Rick,

I also have some records on the marriage of the parents of my great grandfather: Marton Flachbart married Amalia Ulbrich in Krompach in March 1862. Any coincidence with your records? I have further information on the following generations, too, mainly on my great grandfather's decendants.

I live in Budapest, Hungary. To share further details it would be the best to keep in touch in e-mail: katalin.ohegyi -a-t- comunique -d-o-t- hu

Best regards,

Ken: Flachbart
In my ancestory, Fredrick Heinrich Flachbart (born 1802 in Lagensalza Germany) married Marea Fredrica Bonerberg (born abt 1813). The family migrated to the US in abt 1840 and, for some reason, the name was changed to Flaxbeard. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
