Balint (Walter) G. and Rosa Fejes Galgóczi
On January 17, 1911, Walter Bálint Galgóczi was married to Rosa Fejes at the Hungarian Holy Trinity Church in East Chicago, Lake County, Indiana. He arbitrarily used the given name Walter in the US because Balint was an uncommon name in the US and Walter was easier to understand. The following historical presentation will use Walter, his chosen name in the USA.
Migration History in the USA
Walter was listed in a 1910 census living East Chicago, Lake County, Indiana. At the time, he was a foreman at Copperworks. In a 1920 Census, he is married, still living in East Chicago, Indiana, but now he is a fireman. In a 1930 census, he is living in Rosebush, Isabella, Michigan and is a farmer. Before he retired, in his 50s, he acquired land, built his home and was owner-operator of the DX Gas Station in Rosebush, Michigan. Shortly before he died, he moved to Clare, Michigan, but was buried in Rosebush, Michigan, alongside his wife, Roza (Fejes) Galgoczi.

Little Walter, namesake to his father, died on March 06, 1918. He was one year old and 22 days of age at the time of death; he died from a virus that was going around, more than likely influenza. He is buried at the St. John's Cemetery, located near the borderlines of Hammond and East Chicago, Indiana.
Walter and Rosa decided to move to Rosebush, Isabella County, Michigan after Helen was born. Erma (also spelled Irma), their third born daughter, was very sick, and it was thought that they should move her to the fresh country air in Michigan. In Rosebush, Michigan, they continued to expand their family and had four more children.

Note: some of the children born in Michigan may have been born in Mt. Pleasant, Isabella County, Michigan where a hospital was available. Mt. Pleasant is eight (8) miles from Rosebush, a very small farming community.
Little Elizabeth died June 12, 1924, at three years, eight months and eight days of age. Her father, Walter, made her headstone, and in the year, 2003, it is still standing. It is a little white cross, located at the cemetery of St. Henrys Church in Rosebush, Michigan.
