NYEggNog: Beregszosz, Beregovo

My genealogy enquiry -- http://www.kositch.us

-- who were my forefathers & do we have Family remaining in Beregszosz (Beregovo)?

I have just received copy of my grandmother's birth record from Budapest (page 46, A 864)

IGNA'TKO ERZSE'BET - R. Catholic
-- born 7 May 1887, Ma'ndok
-- Mother: GARA ERZSE'BET, from Beregszasz
-- Father: IGNA'TKO JA'NOS, artisan from Ma'ndok
-- Godparent: REHA JANOS, artisan
-- Godparent: BLAS CAROLINA
-- Priest: Kaplan of Hajdudoroviy?
-- Domocile: Ma'ndok 24

Igna'tko Erzse'et may have been a chambermaid at a palace near Budapest before she emigrated to America around 1902-1905 at the age of 15-17 -
Did her parents own a sauerkraut factory -

Thank you for the courtesy of your reply

Ellie

Since the village of Beregovo is in Ukraine, you might have to hire a researcher to locate any distant relatives.
You might try this website :
www.imrehun.com
Imre takes pictures of ancestral village so he would be able to check out the village for any distant relatives.

The village of Beregovo is a bit far in distance from Budapest but anything is possible.
You might post on Ukraine's Ancestry board and Genforum.
Maybe there might be a better help.
