My gradma was a Pap, daughter of Elek Pap who was the vice-gouvernor of the Hungarian Central Bank. I assume, but don't really know, the wife of Gyula Gazdik, nee Michaela Pap could be a relative, possibly a nice to Elek? Do you've any additional info on Gazdiks? 	Kathleen Parr: Re: Gazdik Gyula I found Gazdik János and Radai, Julianna married in Mezses Hungary , I believe I found the draft registration card of Gazdik, Louis, it states on the military card he was b. Mezses, Hungary, I would assume he is the son of János and Julianna Gazdik. 1920 census shows Gazdik Louis living with his family in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. E.93rd Street. I wish you success in your research - as I see from your postings you're very laborious! (by the way: Farkas = wolf can be a christian name or even a family name. German Wolf(gang) means the same. 	Derek: Re: Gazdik Gyula Michaela Pap was the daughter of Paul Hauser and Terez-Rafela Pap. She was born in 1921 in Vienna although she grew up in Budapest. She changed her name to Pap in the 1930s. She moved to Canada in 1947. Terez Rafaela Pap was the daughter of David Pap and Margrit Fuchs and was born in 1898. David and Margrit had two other children - Gabor Pap was a lawyer who died in New York in 1973 and Michael who died in Budapest in the flu epidemic of 1919. David Pap was a judge and also died in the flu epidemic. Margrit died abt 1940 when she was hit by a tram in Budapest. I have no information on Elem Pap unfortunately.
