Gail Stadfeld: Re: our family
My father, Alfred Gluck, was the son of Miska Gluck. He was in England in the mid 1970's but I was not with him. Two of my sisters were though. So either they visited or this is just a coincidence.
I have been trying to find any information on Ignatz Gluck and have had no luck
Thanks, Gail Stafeld

Gail Stadfeld: Re: Gluck
My grandfather,Miksa Gluck, arrived in US in 1910 at the age of 25. The manifest listed his town as Meziesat, Hungary. His sister, Etel Gluck, was with him and her entry states Mesoevat, Hungary. They both listed Ignatz Gluck as their father.

Zlatica: Re: Gluck
Gail

The name of a town is misspelled as no such but a Mezocsat in Borsod megye, Hungary is the closes in spelling.
The LDS-Mormons website is listing church records of Mezocsat so you can order them and gather ancestral information.

barbhamel: Glück and Bernstein
I am looking for information on my great-grandmother, Wilma (or Vilma) Bernstein. She was born in Budapest, Oct 22, 1878, and died in Berlin, Sept. 24, 1942. Her mother's maiden name may have been Glück (I'm not sure of the spelling). I only know for sure that there was a family member, either Wilma's father or grandfather(?) and he was the town Doctor.
I believe Dr.Glück and his family lived in Szászrégen, Transylvania and vacationed in Cluj-Napoca during the summer. This information came to me by my older cousin, who's last visit to this family was in 1929. This is all I know of the Bernstein and Glück family.

I am also looking for information regarding my great-grandfather, Moritz Hirschler (Master Architect of Interior Design and born in Nagygorbo, Zala megye, Hungary on the 15th of July 1864. I do know that Moritz was a partner/owner in the firm, Platow & Priemer(Berlin)in the early 1900's until his death, Sept 21, 1940. I also have found documentation that Julius Ralph Davidson, the famous German-American architect studied under him at Flatow & Priemer 1908 - 1909.
Wilma & Moritz had 4 children, Katharina, Carl (Karl?) Heinrich, Charlotte, and Liesel.

Any more information would be appreciated and treasured!
