You are the one who has to locate a name of a town for your ancestor in order to proceed with the research.

There was 1 GUBOVICS and 4 GUBOVICs that passed thru Ellis Island to America.
Those 4 Gubovics were from Starcevo, Jugoslavia.

Hi , Damien . Do you know which part of Hungary ? My grandfather was hungarian , Tahitodfalu (Hungary) . His name was Jozef Gubovics and his parents was : Jozef Gubovics and Maria Rac Gubovics . I don't know many things about him , but I know that he was married before comes to Brazil . He married with my grandmother , Erzebet Budai in Italy , in 1952 . But ... he was married , my grandmother didn´t know , so ... maybe I have relatives in Hungary or other part of world . Tell me more about your family history maybe ... who knows ?

MATAV Hungarian On-line Phone Directory lists 27 Gubovics, most of them in the city of Kiskunlacháza, south from Budapest:
