mmwolfson: Hallof
I am looking for information on the Hallof family who emigrated to Chicago in 1914 from Hungary. They were a German speaking family from the towns of Saint Hubert (I guess it would be Szent-Hubert. The ship manifest reads Szt. Hubert.) and from Karolyliget (I'm not sure of exact spelling.)

So far I know about Josef (Joe) Hallof who had been in Chicago before 1907 born in 1871, wife Elizabeth/Erzebet/Ersebeth and daughters Madgalena (Helen) and Marianna/Maria/Mary. Joe's sister was Maria Hallof Schmidt who was widowed by 1914 when she came to Chicago with her daugher also named Elizabeth/Erzebet/Ersebeth.

So if anyone is out there who has any more pieces to the puzzle, please e-mail me!
