I am looking for Herskovics. I just found my grandfather's birth certificate as well as my great-grandparents marriage license. I had someone who can read Hungarian translate them. I have come up with the following:
My grandfather's names was Ignacz Herskovics, we knew his as Arthur. His parents were Bernat(Bernard in the US) and Ida. Ida's maiden name was Salamon, but when she arrived in the US told people it was Klein. Bernat's parents were Izsak and Eszter. Eszter's maiden name was Berkovics.
Ida's parents were David and Rozalia. Rozalia's maiden name was Mozes.
Bernat was born August 1877 in either Bilke or Budapast. Ida was born Oct. 15, 1877 in either Sarkozujlak or Budapast. Izsak was a farmer. David was a butcher.
While I know something I'd like to know more. I know Bernat and Ida came to the US between 1905 and 1906 as their youngest son was born in 1905 in Budapast while their daughter was born in 1906 in the US.
Any help would be great.
