(I'm sorry if my english is bad).My family came from germany,Phaltz (1870) and I know very little about them. I got one book on german (I dont know german, but i'm planing to learn it ) and on serbocroatian. I'm 26 and my Grandfather,Jakob died 1989, he knowed very good german because he studiesin Berlin in 193..,grandmothe,Flora (borned Hegel) in 1990 and my father,Ernst died 2002, so i don't have someone who will tell me about us. So I tried with interne but i started in USA, maybe I have to try in German with 'google'. I have relative in germany, 2 brothers of my grandfather left Yugoslavia before and during 2th World War. They was keeping in touch with us but when Jakob and Flora died and war in Croatia started they broke any connection with u. Here i didn't find any relative and many documentationswere losted after 2TH world war. So I hope if you know someone in USA who can tell me more about Hilkene.
