barbhamel: Hirschler, Moritz
I'm looking for information on my great-grandfather, Moritz Hirschler and any other family. This is what I know so far:
Moritz Hirschler was born on the 15th of July in 1864 in Hungary. He was a Master Architect of Interior Design and worked in Berlin, Germany from 1908 through 1929...likely before and after those dates, but I have only found information on those years. He was married to Ann (Anna?)Schoneberg and had 3 daughters, one by the name of Lotte, and one son, Carl Heinrich Hirschler (my grandfather). Much of this information, such as my great-grandmother's name, is from my grandfather's visa to America in 1929. Carl was born Dec.17, 1900 in Berlin (according to his Visa), so I assume that Moritz and Ann were living there at the time. My mother was told that all but Carl (her father) perished in concentration camps during the Holocaust, but we have found no documentation of this as of yet. Anymore information would be appreciated!

I have found a Hirschler Mór (may be the Hungarian equivalent of Moritz) among the founding members of the Hungarian Art & Craft Collection. The link leads you to a Hungarian archive http://epa.niif.hu/01000/01059/00014/pdf/1899_06_magyipmuv_tagjai.pdf
his German address is given as Berlin S. W., Hilmersdotf, Durlacher-Strasse 14

So far so good.
Best regards

Further to my previous.
I have found another article mentioning the name Hirschler Mor (Moritz) This one is a long article about a Christmas Rxhibition held in 1900 at which pieces designed by Moritz were also on display. The critic wrote about them with appreciation.

Thank you for this information! I have not been able to access the 1st article. When I have tried to download it, I receive a message stating that it is a 'corrupt' file. I will try again from another computer later. I was able to access the second site and have printed it, although I do not read Hungarian!
I have tried to 'edit' my initial posting, but it always shows up the same, so I will update with the latest information that I have now:
I'm looking for information regarding my great-grandfather, Moritz Hirschler (Master Architect of Interior Design), born in Nagygorbo, Zala megye, Hungary on the 15th of July 1864. I do know that Moritz was a partner/owner in the firm, Platow & Priemer(Berlin)in the early 1900's until his death, Sept 21, 1940. I also have found documentation that Julius Ralph Davidson, the famous German-American architect studied under him at Flatow & Priemer 1908 - 1909.
I am also looking for information on my great-grandmother, Wilma (or Vilma) Bernstein. She was born in Budapest, Oct 22, 1878, and died in Berlin, Sept. 24, 1942. Her mother's maiden name may have been Glück, as there was a family member, Dr. Glück, who I believe lived in Szászrégen, Transylvania and the family vacationed in Cluj-Napoca during summer.
Wilma & Moritz had 4 children, Katharina, Carl (Karl?) Heinrich, Charlotte, and Liesel.
Any information would be appreciated and treasured!
