He married twice in The Netherlands, 1875 Noorloos and 1884 Huygen both times at Delfshaven. His first wife, my great-grandmother died young. Their daughter, my grandmother went to a foster family and nobody seems to know what happened to Stefanus Hudul....cant find anything more in the archives in the Netherlands...I'm very curious as to what became of him...can anybody help me please, thank you, Elly Rotterdam, Holland

Elly

Might the spelling be HODUL? There were no Huduls that passed thru Ellis Island port to America but 43 HODULs did.
Most of the Hoduls were from the present Slovak Republic.
The surname still lists in SK's phone book.

Take a look at surname NODUL on Ellis Island. He was one and only and if you look at the writing the H in Hodul could have passed for being Nodul. NO surname Nodul in SK.
