Those two surnames can be found in Slovak Republic. www.zoznamst.sk This is not to suggest anything at this time as you do not have a name of a town. Take a look in Ellis Island website. 	Czirfusz Judit: ismerek Holubot Sajnos még nem igazodok el itt a fórumon, de úgy vettem észre, hogy a Holub családot szeretnéd megismerni. Tamásiban élnek Holub nevezetűek. Holub László Kegyeleti szolgáltató, de gyermekek is járnak a helyi iskolába Holub Gabriella, Holub Melinda. Nothing shows up for Kostolec but it could be that it did not have church. Its records could be within 10 miles radius. 	Zlatica : Re: Holub Kathy Can you confirm the information from his naturalization intent and petition with his arrival manifest? The HOLUB ancestor married a SEMAN? Were they birds of a feather? I want to say, yes. They most likely were from same region, religion [few exceptions] but for sure one common language/dialect to communicate in and common traditions to observe. It is easy to confirm if your ancestor was from Kisfalu just go thru the church records. Unfortunately, you would need to order them and view them in FHCL. Any other US document, lets say a church marriage or baptismal record? Was it your ancestor or the clerk that filled the citizenship paper?
