	Brazinajj: Re: Jakab család Gabriella, Very sorry that my knowledge of Hungarian is ruidmentary and I can barely understand what you are telling me except that your grandparents were also Jakab's and that you have little information about where the family nest originated. I believe that my Jakab family ancestors may have liked in Gyortelek and Koscord. I cannot access the church records since the new pastor is too busy to help me. If you can have someone help translate from English to Magyar, then I will write you again with more details. Many thanks for writing. My grandfather was Jakab, Gyorgy and his mother was Luiza Jakab the daughter of Jakab, Gyorgy. John gnay was born Sept 20, 1901. 	Peter Jacob: Re: Jakab család Kati, My family was also from Koscord;that is, my fathers side.I don't know very much about the family which is a sin but I do know my grandfather's name was Peter.Don't know or remember my grandmother's name.I was told my grandfather made carts and wagons and owned some property there.They emigrated to the U.S.where my father was born as one of twins.His twin died in child birth.They lived in Phillipsburg,N.J.They returned to Koscord somewhere around 1909.MyDad came back here to N.J. 20 yrs. later along with his friend and distant cousin named Zigmond Jakab. Mom and Dad visited his family in Koscord in 1980 and signed over the family property to his cousins who had cared for his parents until their death.His mother died in the early 50's at around 98 yrs. old.His father had passed earlier,also in his 90's.That's all I know and I have no one around to give me any more information.		21/06/2009, 22:11:56 #: 200906742 post replyedit abuse? profile
