Zlatica : Re: Looking for my family
The Slovenia's phone site is listing the name JEDREJC'IC'.
http://tis.telekom.si.index.asp

You will need to locate a name of a town for you ancestor in order to proceed with the research.
You need to know a name of the village for your ancestor to order the church records that the LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) have filmed.

Goran J.: Re: Looking for my family
Hello,

nice to hear from another Jedrejcic!

My family origin (and I guess yours, too) is in village LINDAR, ~2km from Pazin in Istria (Istria is peninsula on northern croatian adriatic coast). There is a church of St. Sebastijan build by A. Jedrejcic in ~1520 just near of my grandfather's old house. A stone plate in latin and glagolic (old croatian) confirms this. My grand-grandfather's name was Frane Jedrejcic (must have died in early twenites) and lot of his children left abroad.
There are few dozen families living in Croatia, mostly in Istria, one on island of Krk and my family in city of Split. Furthermore, there is at least one family in Ljubljana, Slovenia, too.

Cheers!
Goran Jedrejcic
