Rivergull: Besenyo

I'm trying to help my friend with family history...last name Jurinko. His grandfather apprently came from "SIRMO BESSENYO, Austria Hungary" (as written in grandfather's handwriting many many years ago). Is there a place called Sirmo anywhere? Only Besenyo shows up on Google.
