	korizs: Re: Kazik The mother of my mother was Julianna Kazik. His father was Istvan (Stephen) Kazik, inhabitant of a small village, near to Jasd, in the same county. (I do not know his birthplace. He was born approx. in 1890.) Joseph and Istvan most likely were relatives. Istvan moved to the US as well, but later he came back to Hungary. As far as I know the family is catholic Slovakian, living in Hungary, in the Bakony mountains, since the end of the 17th century. A descendant of Joseph Kazik who lives in Jasd has married into one of my family lines and it seems no one knows whether he established a family in the US or not. I do have two elderly cousins in Florida who remember him when he used to visit their parents in Ohio, but that was a long time ago. They have not heard anything about him since. He does not seem to be on the 1910, 1920 or 1930 US Census but he could have changed the spelling of his name. Do you know anything more about Istvan Kazik?
