In search of the following KERECMAN's John, Julia, and children Charles, John, Mary Jane, Michael and Anna. Last know residence for John was Portage county, Ohio. Anyone have these names in their searches. John's father's name is Charles and mothers name is Julia Skirt.

John and Julia are my grandparents. My mother is Anna Kerecman. Married Mike Mathia had 2 children, Vincent and Mike.

Did you find the KERECMAN and KERECMANOVA that came thru Ellis Island to America? www.ellisislandrecords.org
They were from Uzhorod and Perecin (Czechoslovakia), Ukraine.
Some phone listings for KERECMANOVA (female) in Eastern region of SK which borders Ukraine. www.zoznamst.sk (type 056 in area code).

John & Julia are my grandparents too. Anna Kerecman is my mother and Vincent Mathia III (along with Mike Jr) are half brothers. Charles is now living in the Columbus Ohio area with wife Marian.

Hey Reg can you contact me off line. Skipperkab -a-t- aol.com -d-o-t- Charles died back in Aug. I found an obit a while ago for him. I would love to know if I can have some pic of Anna? I have some that I could share of Charles and Michael, and John. Would love to know if you know more of their childhood. Where John and Julia married. My mother in law was the daughter of John Jr. Hope to hear back

Good to hear from everyone. My Brother Reg Thayer probably has the majority of pictures and information about the family. Although, our Aunt Mary Kerecman Brett would have the most knowledge today. John and Julia Kerecman lived just next door to Reg many years ago. Our Mother and the family grew up in that very same neighborhood. Reg lives in a pleasant area with a lot of history.
