jjkoch: Grandfather
I am looking for any information on my grandfather Johann Koch. He left Hungry in 1905. I believe he lived in Magyarorszag at that time. He sailed from Hamburg Gr., to New Your, NY and lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the in Maple Shade, New Jersey

Date of Birth was 11/04/1885
Fathers Name John Joseph Koch
Mothers name Katherina Rocher

Any help would be great.
Thank you

John Koch

Zlatica : Re: Grandfather
John

The Magyarorszag means country of Hungary in English. You need to locate a name of a town in order to proceed with the research. Take a look in Ellis Island website. You just might locate your ancestor's manifest.

A first name translation website: www.fam.aust.com/topolcsany/names
If your ancestor had social security numbers or was naturalized citizen than those forms would have useful information.
