tony cousins: family
My grandfather was Prof.Dr Erno von Kontzey.I think he left Hungary before the end of the war. I have a document from December 1949 from Gen.Hospital at Bad Reichenhall where he worked as chief doctor, it categorizes him as a displaced person. I first met him as a very small boy in Munich where he continued to practice until he died in 1955/6.
My mother was born in Debrecen and married my English father in 1946.
Can provide pictures if anyone is interested.

mudrak: Re: family
Dear Sir,

I write a book (who’s who) about the Royal Hungarian Stephen Tisza University. Ernő Köntzey was a privat-docent of the Faculty of Medicine at the University.

Ernő Köntzey was born in Küküllővár in Transsylvania 1893.
His father was a landowner.
He was the first assistant of the Surgery Clinic of the University then he became a chief doctor of the “Elisabeth” Public Hospital of Zemplén county in Sátoraljaújhely.
His wife was Elisabeth Békessy.

I would like to know much about prof. Köntzey for my work (university who’s who).

Yours sincerely,

Jozsef Mudrák, PhD., university historian, Debrecen

Janos: Re: Kontzey / Konczei family
Dear Tony,
Attached you have a short arm of Kontzey / Konczey / Konczei families from Kukullovar (roots in Karatna). Until yet I wasn't able to fix them on the "Big Konczei Tree", but I think will help anyway a bit on your research.
