My mother Ilona Mária Franciska Kopec(z)ky, roman catholic, was born in Budapest on Aug, 02 - 1912. She was married to Emil Gabrowitz from 1932 to 1948. In 1948 she left the country and went to Brazil.
My grandfather József Adolf Kopec(z)ky was born in Boskowitz, district of Borstendorf, Moravia on March, 07 - 1878 according to my mother´s birth certificate (or!) in Wadowitz, Galicia according to his engineer´s diploma and his Wien death certificate. He had at least one sister called Mária Vilhelmina born in Újpest on August, 30 - 1885. József was married to Ilona Mária Huszár on Jul, 14 – 1908 . Grandmother Ilona was born in Budapest on May, 25 -1880, the daughter of Sándor Huszár and Franciska Morvay.
My great grandfather József Kopeczky was chief veterinarian for the Austro-Hungarian Army in Budapest around 1900. He was married to Mária Dubow.
My mother had a younger brother whose nickname was Dódi. Unfortunately I don´t have his name. He was probably born in the late 1910s, but not in Budapest. He was taken to Siberia in 1945 where he passed away.
My name is Nicola Szasz or Szász Miklós in Hungarian, and I was born in Brazil in 1949.
I am looking forward to meeting my relatives.
