Mark L.: Limbrunner/Limbruner?
Hi. Can anyone provide information on the relationship (if any) between the name Limbruner & Limbrunner. My great grandfather emigrated from Germany (Bavaria according to family legend) to the US Pittsburgh, Pennsylania about 110 years ago. He had two sons Alfred & Joseph and the two branches of the family are still here in the Pittsburgh area. Other than those two branches there are no other Limbruner's in the US. However, there are a few other families with the Limbrunner spelling spread across the US.

Any info would be appreciated.

hope you can understand my english. I think i can help you a little with your question about the Name Limbrunner, and maybe al little more.
My Name is Ulrich Limbrunner, my Father's Name is Josef Limbrunner and his father's brother (his uncle) emigratet to America about 80 years ago. At that time, he went to New York. The Family-Name "Limbrunner" is a typical bavarian Name. The most of them came and come from a little area here in Bavaria. The most Family-Members with this Name are coming from Waibling. They was living, an still live here in the Smalltown "Landau" or in the village "Waibling".
The Name Limbruner (without a double n) is not known here.
I don't know anyone wit this name. Maybe one letter is lost in time.
Would be nice to get an answer.

Én Limbrunner Levente (20) vagyok és cak azért irtam be, hogy hátha találok valamilyen rokont de ha nem már magában az is furcsa ha valakinek Limbrunner a családneve éljen a föld bármelyik pontján is. Ha valaki rokonomnak érzi magát vagy csak érdekli a név eredete nyugodtan írjon az e- mailemre.
