Just a bit an unusual name. No one by the name LOTHARIDES passed thru Ellis Island to America so I have not many a clue for you.

I see that a handfull of Lotharides in Slovak Republic's phone book and another handfull in Hungary's phone site and a spelling LOTHARIDESZ. That spelling would be more correct Hungarian.

There is a town named Lothard in Baranya megye, Hungary. That is just a tidbit of information and at present has nothing to help you in your search.
