Hello, I am looking for other Maldackers from Europe. I'm interested in tracing my my father's family. They came from Yugoslavia and I am looking for any family members still in the region.

Hello!
I'm Maldacker George from Romania,neighbour country of Yugoslavia.I am interested too to find members of our family.My grandfather's father(George) was borned in Yugoslavia, in Parabuty.I live in Cluj-Napoca(transylvania).

Of course before 1920 there was no Yugoslavia, so records
would show Hungary.
Parabuty most likely was Paripás [Parabuć, Gutacker], Bács County, Hungary, today called Ratkovo in Serbia.

I looked up Maldacker at EllisIsland.org, and surprise a husband and wife arrived from Paripás:

Date of Arrival Jan 02, 1909
Port of Departure Rotterdam

0021. Maldacker, Firencz (corr. Ferencz) M 24 M German Hungary
0022. Maldacker, Maria F 22 M German Hungary

The Original Shipping Manifest showing closest relative in Paripás B.B.=(Bács-Bodrog County) P.Maldecker, destination was friend Johan Pencz, in 1382 Prospect Str., New York.

Hello George,

Good to hear from you. My father was born in Novi-sad or Neusatz (in German). I don't know where his parents were born. I am trying to back track the family history. As I understand many, many years ago, the Queen asked her subjects to populate this region from the Black Forest in Germany.
I have located another Maldacker from the Black Forest and am trying to figure out the genealogy of our families. Historical records are very limited so this is a very long running project.

My father's family thery came from Yugoslavia Parabuc' (Parabucy). My fathers grandfathers Georg borne in Parabuc'(Parabuty) in 16.01.1876. fathers Frank,mothers Eva Kavelli. He have 2 brathers Frank and Sthepan. 2sister Eva,go to U.S.A. Rosa go to U.K. .Brathers Frank go to Germany,Stephan go to my grand grandfathers Georg to Transilvania (Hungary) Arad City after Sibiu city children not borne.

I know a lady who was born in 1924 in Alibunar, Yugoslavia. Her maiden name was Adelheid Maldacker. She married Andreas Braunstein from Palanka. They immigrated to America in 1952, lived in Middletown, Ohio, and she now lives in Kentucky. He passed away two years ago. I am trying to help her locate relatives that may still be in the areas of Alibunar, Ilok, or Palanka. Her mother use to have a restaurant, and had a vineyard across the Danube.
