My greatgrandfather was Simeon Ranic. He was married twice.
His first wife was Marija Kosanovich. They had three children: Nikola b. 1872, Ratso, Todino b. 1871? and Mitar. Nikola came to the U.S. in 1893.
Ratso had two children in Gomirje, Ljuban b.1891 and Simo
b. 1889. Ljuban came to the U.S. in 1907 and Simo in 1896.
Todino married Janja and they had a son Nikola b. 1897.
Nikola and Todino came to the U.S. in 1924. Janja stayed in
Gomirje?.
Simeon second wife was Smilja________ my greatgrandmother.
They had four children: Joka, Mile-my grandfather, Lujubica
and Simica.
Joka was born in 1882. He came to the U.S. Mile b. 1879,
came to the U.S. in 1896. Ljubica and Simica remained in Gomirje.
I would like to know Smilja's maiden name and anything else anyone can provide. Thanks Nick |
