Most találtam meg a keresõ leveledet és örülök neki, talán még érdekel a válaszom. Én Mehringer Imre a Nagyapád Mehringer Ferdinánd testvére vagyok és én is már 79 éves . Van még egy élõ testvér az Attila. Én, illetve a családom Érden lakunk. Van egy fiam Gábor,aki 46 éves és neki is egy fia Richard, aki a Te unokatestvéred és 21 éves. I am interested in Mehringers from Beb, Veszprem. My grandfather, Josef Mehringer, came from there to America in 1902. He was the son of Janos Mehringer and Terezia Frolich. I believe his grandparents were Janos Meringer, Anna Veilandics, Josef Frolich and Catharina (Katalin) Happ. I would love to hear from any descendants of these people.

Hello my name is Pam Merringer form the USA. My father emigrated from Hungary in 1877. Fabian Merringer baptized 20 Jan 1850 and was born in Gyirot, Veszprem, Hungary, It was his son Fabian that was born in Romand, Veszprem,Hungary. Fabian's wife's maiden name was Mari Lanczendirfer. Fabian's parents name was Stephan (Istvan) and Fabian's mother was Maria Farsthoffer.Stephan(Istvan)baptized 23 Oct 1788(was born in Csot, Veszprem, Hungary) father was Michael Meringer (born in the 1750's or 60's) and his mother was Mariana Makegin. Mariana name on birth record are also listed as mahigyn marky and mahegyin.
`Their chidren as as follows:
Christina Meringer b.1786
Stephanus meringer b.1788
Mariana meringer b 1791
Susanna Meringer b.1794
Rosalia Meringer b.1796
and I am not sure on this one.
Susanna Meringer birth 1801
Theresia meringer b 1808

Stephanus meringer and Maria Forsthoffer had
Josephus meringer 1829
Stephanus b. 1831
Egyed meringer 1845
Fabian b.1850

Pam, may I ask what your source is for the information you have posted? I have looked through the LDS microfilm records for Csot, Veszprem (which include records from the nearby town of Beb). I made notes of all Meringers and people related to them through marriage and put them into a small data file (2775 people). The people you mention are all there plus many more. Michael Meringer and Mariana Makegin for example had 14 children between 1786 and 1808. Many died in infancy. One of their daughters, Elisabetha, who you don't mention, is my ancestor.

Hi Pam, It's a pleasure to make your aquaintance. i have the information I gathered on my laptop (and in very obsolesent software) , but not on the web. The LDS web site(s) that I have visited have Hungarian "Catholic Church Records", but they are only births at this point. No Marriages or deaths -- which I have seen only on microfilm. The Hungarian Civil Registration records are not indexed and I've been searching them, image by image, as I have time. So, it's slow going.

What I have done -- the 2775 people records I mentioned -- is to compile the records and then put together some hypothetical relationships. So, for example if John Doe got married in 1850 at age 21, and there was a John Doe who was born in 1829, they may be the same person -- but it's not definitive.

I'll be happy to share what I have if you have specific questions. And I'll be able to tell you what is certain based on the records, and what is, I think, probable based on connecting two or more records together.

That is where I am getting my info too. I have been working for a few weeks now. I think the site is fairly new. I have used the main site for years.
Well here is where I am stumped. I can't seem to link Michael Meringer* the husband of Anna Maria Marky (mahegyin) with his parents.And I don't have her parents either. I also Can't find a marriage(as you have noted why) for Istvan meringer and maria farsthoffer or for my Great grandfather Fabian and Mary(mari)Lanczendorfer.
I would deeply aprreciate those.
You should write a book and sell it. Your time is worth it.
I have been also trying to match up the people that emigrated from Hungary with the State they might have moved to. I would love to be able to go or find a relative in each state to take pics of grave stones for me.
My heart and soul has been in this reseach for so long. I am getting old and really want to pass our ancestry on to our children and grandchildren for them to cherish after I am gone.
If you don't understand this rambling email me back.
I am getting surgery on thursday and unfortunately will not be able to type for a while. So today and tomorrow are all I have for awhile.
