my father was from klichanev near muncach-I heard him speak about family in Svalava- my mom was from irshava-he mentioned spending time during war in Beregs

We are from the mermelstein family from munkacs-oroszveg/Mukacevo-rosvigovo.
My GGgrandparents where gitl and zeev mermelstein, they had 3 sons and a doughter.
My ggrandfather HERMAN MERMELSTEIN/YISRAEL ZVI, was killed with his brother in WW1.He had a printing house for news paper in munkacs.He was married to TAUBA MERMELSTEIN and had 5 children: Eugene/Jeno/CHAYIM JIDLE, lived in N.Y. Adolf/Dolfi/AVRAHAM DAVID,lived in Israel,
ROZSI/RIVKA- Married Ackerman , killed ww2,
Erzsebet/Etu/Ester married Wiess , lived in Israel,
Bernard/Beri/YISSASCHAR DOV, lived in Israel- my gradfather
he married LEA FRIEDMANN from Lopcse and had i doughter Sonja- lived in Israel.

jerome i believe your KArls so. when my father john (your uncle)arrived in america they lived first in east pitt.pa. in order to leave austria kment name was taken .REAL name is WOLFE NOT kment. my great uncle your great great uncle was officer with maxmillian when austria owned mexico. first kment in america . karl and my grandfather janos (john) HATED the military.
