village Nemesany - Spis area, 9 km East from Levoca, Slovakia. Ancient names of village : 1773 Nemessan, Nemeschan, Nemessanj, 1786 Nemeschan, 1808 Nemesán, Nemessany, 1863, 1907-1913 Nemessány, 1927- Nemešany.

Seeking relatives for Samuel Nemes who lived in Nemesany cca 1800 and owned coat-of-arm (see also "Nemes forum" from Liptovske Beharovce). Seekeing relatives with Nemessany family (?) and Nemes in Liptovske Beharovce.

V knihe:
Jozef Novák, Peter Vítek, Ladislav Čisárik: Lexikón erbov šľachty na Slovensku II, Liptovská stolica, Hajko&Hajková, Bratislav 2004 sú popísané erby rodín Nemeš (Zeman) z Behároviec a Nemessányi.

bojec: Ad: Samuel Nemes

Ad: Mr. Nagy - In "Lexikon erbov slachty na Slovensku II." is named Samuel Nemes, cca 1800, with the coat-of-arm as I send (see 1st message) and he is not from Liptovske Beharovce BUT Nemesany. The coat I send describe "Beharfalvi" means Liptovske Beharovce, not Nemesany. The question is, who was Samuel Nemes ? Are any connections to L. Beharovce ? And who really owned this coat-of-arm ?

Dobry den p.Nagy,
"trochu" neskor, ale predsa (a po slovensky).
Napriek priezviskovej podobe nateraz nemam ine suvislosti z obcou Nemešany na Spiši, ako lexikony (Novak, Federmayer). Takisto to je z premenovanym rodu Nemes na Zeman ! a jeho nasledne lokalizovanie.
Moje doterajsie hladanie zatial "neopustilo" Liptovske Beharovce (cca 250 rokov, 7 generacii) a erb, ktoreho reprodukciu som uviedol, ma nateraz "povod" tiez tam.
Armales som doteraz nevypatral. Takisto pomerne rozvetvene potomstvo, ci pribuzenstvo nie je "nalinkovane", zatial mam tieto priezviska len ako material na spracovanie.

Firesnoop: Looking for relatives

Hello! I'm trying to find some information on my ancestry and have little information to go by. The only info that I have is this: My grandfather was Bela Albert Nemes, son of Imre Nemes and Anna Berta. He was born in Veszprem-Pinkoc on 8/26/1884 according to his death records.I know he came to the United States in the early 1900's but he died before I was born. Unfortunately, this is the only information I have at the time. Please e-mail me with any information that you may have. I greatly appreciate any help I can receive.
