Hungary's phone book does have an English version but I for some unknown reason always use Hungarian.
If your PEKL(Y) came to America they should be here but the problem is that the descendants could have changed their name to sound like Pekly but not look like Pekly.

I tried to look in CZ's phone book http://phone.quick.cz but the format has been changed and actually does not work at this moment.
SK's phone book www.zoznamst.sk is working and I can find surnames PEKLO and PEKLANSKY.
