	Percsi: Wanting to learn about family history My name is Kathryn and I am trying to find out something of the history of my grandfather's surname 'Percsi'. He knew very little about his own background since he was an orphan. His name was Alexander Percsi. He married Rosa Marta Pieochzech (sp?) and emigrated to Australia in about 1953. There were 9 PERCSIs that passed thru Ellis Island to America. You might want to check out those manifests. 	Percsi: Re: Wanting to learn about family history Dédszüleim Angliából jöttek Felsőbányára az 1700-as években, mint bányászok. Percsy (Pörszi) volt eredetileg, de az 1750 körül lett magyarositva, vagy elírva. Ezt nem tudom pontosan. Édesapám 1921-ben felsőbányán született, de ovodát Petrozsényban járta, de az iskolát felsőbányán, utána nagybányán felyezte be. 1940-töl a Magyar királyi hadseregben szolgált, majd, mikor Erdélyt lecsatolták, akkor magyarországra telepedett. Felszabaduláskor Ausztiából jött vissza, mint Amerikai hadifogoly. 1956. Jun. 15.én romániába repatriált.1961. dec. 6-án vissza jött. 1992-ben halt meg Százhalombattán. Apukám Tiszaújlaki (Percsi Bertalan), nagyapámat Percsi Mihálynak hívták (1942-ben halt meg). 	Kathy: Re: Wanting to learn about family history Hi I now know that my grandfather was born in Khust. I also found a passenger list with his name on it. The ship was the SS Skaugum.
