Sandy Mast: Re: HELP PINTARICH
Hello! I am the daughter of Ethel Pintarich. Her father was Joseph Pintarich and mother was Theresa Lazur(?) Joseph and Theresa came to America at the turn of the century (I have their wedding picture). They settled in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Joseph had a brother named Vince who also live in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

I may have more information. Does any of that sound close?

I pray it does!

Sandy Mast: Re: HELP PINTARICH
Nicolas - I am so very excited to hear from you! Are you serious that you father's family is from Nazareth and Bethlehem Pennsylvania United States? That is my family too! I know here in the States there are not many people with that last name - My grandfather Joseph worked at the Bethlehem Steel Plant here in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. From what my mother had told me he was "Windish" a certain Hungarian dialect - he was Lutheran and my grandmother Theresa Lasur was Catholic - but she converted to be a Lutheran - Joseph, my grandfather, was a farmer - he and my grandmother had 6 children that lived: William, Joseph, Esther, Helen, Ethel and Anna. My grandfather died in 1945(?) of lung cancer and is buried in Nazareth. The wedding portrait I have of Joseph and Theresa is of their wedding. I will check to see if there is any way a picture can be taken and put digital on the internet, along with any other pictures.

I do pray we are relatives. I always thought that God, family and honor were the most important. You can e-mail me directly at sandymast -a-t- rcn -d-o-t- com or call 610-868-8798 and leave a message.

I hope you and your family are well. Please contact me as soon as you can. If you are a relative, you have a HUGE family over here in the States!!!!

Sandy Mast: Re: HELP PINTARICH
Hi Nicholas! I was wondering how your search for family history is coming along. I have to take a picture of the portrait of Theresa and Joseph and then put it in an e-mail to you. I have lived in the Nazareth/Bethlehem area all my life and am very anxious to find out my roots. Unfortunately, most of my mother's family died as did my mother.

For more information: Joseph and Theresa came to the USA around the turn of the century. According to my mother, they met when they cam over here and married. They had children: 2 boys: Joseph and William and 4 girls: Esther, Helen, Ethel and Anna. My mother did tell me of a younger brother that died as a baby. I believe his name was Frank(?) They settled on a big farm in Lower Saucon Township south of Bethlehem along Black River Road. Joseph worked at the coke works of the Bethlehem Steel. Later, they moved to Moore Township north of Nazareth. Joseph got lung cancer and died at a young age in, I believe, 1945.

My mother told me they were Windish. Joseph spoke 7 different languages. He was from a farming background.

That's all I can tell you for now. I will try to find pictures to send to you. Please correspond with me directly at sandymast -a-t- rcn.com -d-o-t- I am very serious about finding my roots and family. Here they are dying around me.

Take care Nicholas and please write and tell me more about yourself. Maybe we ARE blood.

God be with you and your family,

Sandy Mast
