Nancy Pipok: Pipok History
Hi...I'm trying to find any information about the Pipok family..My grandfather was Karoly Pipok..who immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900's and settled in the Detroit area. He had brothers who also came to America..and possibly settled in the Pennsylvania area.

Zlatica : Re: Pipok History
You need to locate a name of a town for your ancestor in order to proceed with the research.

There were 2 PIPOKs that passed thru Ellis Island.
8 Pipoks in the Social Security Death Index.
http://ssdi.rootsweb.com
5 Pipoks in the US White Pages.

Kalmain (Kalman) PIPOK that passed thru EI in 1913 was going to a brother Karoly Pipok, Detroit, Mich. and being from Mezolak. In Mezolak he left a wife Zofia Pipok.
The town of Mezolak falls into Veszprem megye and is in Hungary.
The old 1910 Hungarian megye map is at :
http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/maps/1910 click on Veszprem.

The Hungarian phone site is listing PIPOK in the town of Papa which is in Veszprem megye. Possible distant relatives.

The LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) website is listing a Reformed church records. So if that was the religion of your ancestor than you can order the films and gather family information off of them.
www.bmi.net/jjaso to familiarize yourself with church wording.
