	Zlatica : Pojtek Marcus You need to locate a name of a town in order to proceed with the research. You know ( I know you do) that you start the family tree with YOU and proceed backwards. Two listings in SK's phone book for POJTEKOVA (female). www.zoznamst.sk No one with that surname came thru Ellis Island,no one in SSDI index so that does not help much. The surname could have evolved from other spelling. 	kezdi Marcus, You may have already found it here at RADIX Surname Index, these are the two places where Pojtek was listed: Alsó(Lower)-Stepanó, in the old Hungarian Árva County, now Dolny Stefanov in Slovakia, and Kisujszállás, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County, in Hungary today. If you know the religion, Church records may give you some lead about the name. Per RadixRef, the Pojtek in Kisújszállás have been born in Alsóstepanó. 	b nemeth The Pojtek name is very rare and im surprised that i found the name at all. This is a very Hungarian name. Clara and Joeseph Pojtek imigrated to Canada namely to Kipling Saskatchewan and helped to form a church called Bekevar and are buried in the cemetary there. Andre Pojet Married Helen Mate.
