| Steve Upton: Re: Samuel Pollitzer | | The name of the brother of plague expert Dr. Robert Pollitzer may have been Victor. I have seen a typed postal cover sent by registered mail from "Dr. R. Pollitzer" at "N. Manch. Plague Prev. Service," Harbin, China to "Dr. Victor Pollitzer" [note that the name on the postal cover is spelled Victor, not Viktor) at "IX/4 Dreihackeng.10, Vienna, Austria" (note that the city and country were identified on the postal cover in English, rather than as Wien, Oesterreich). The date of mailing of the postal cover at Harbin probably was in late May, 1930. Best regards, Steve Upton |
