	Szatványi: Re: Family Tree Pottyondy család. Sopron vármegyéből származik. Tagjai közül: Gáspár 1665-ben Vas vármegye főszolgabírája volt. László 1733-ban Vas vármegyében Nemes-Hollóson volt birtokos. Az 1754–55. évi országos nemesi összeírásban e családból András, János, László, György, Gáspár és Imre vannak Sopron vármegye nemeseinek jegyzékében felvéve. 	Szatványi: Re: Family Tree 1470-1524-ig Pottyondy Benedek prókátor és leszármazottai az 1800-as évekig mint Potyondon született birtokos nemesek vettek részt Sopron vármegye életében. 1562 - Pottyondy Farkas potyondi birtokos vitézül harcolt a török ellen.
