| marcus: Re: Mrs. Rosos in Long Grove | | hi yah all, i'm glad to hear from all of you. At this moment, this is the 1st time a tried to find my surname's origin. When i was college student. My professor told me that it was German sounding, yet from what i read it was probably Hungarian. I live in the Southern Philippines, in Davao City....There are a few of us over here. Me and my brother are the one's left holding the surname Rosos from a clan that migrated form Medellin Cebu............A friend of mine, told me that, the Rosos abounds freely on Cebu's northern municipalities....My grandfather has a very unique caucasian looks, not commonly seen on a typical Filipino. Had fair skin, long nose and brown eyes. His ancestor was Spanish who inter-married a Filipina of half chinese-malay blood... Hope to hear from you again. Just send some mails in my email add. It's important for me to know my origin, because honestly my surname is not of any usual sounding Malay origin, but probably of European backgrounds.THanks. |
