Hale Rickman: Ruckman
I am tracing my family geneology. My Grandfather Max Rickman, born Sept 11, 1888, left his parents, Lipot Ruckman and Zsani Tseve Pasternack, for America as an Adventure at the age of 16.

I know his parents were born and Died in Vorosvagas, Hungary, my grandfather was born in Presov, nd his brother Tibor was born in Turina, (Thurina), and his nephew was born in Miskolc, Hungary.

Any assistance on information on the family would be most appreciated, cemetary site, date of birth or death, Lipot's or Zsani's parent names.

I hope to visit sometiem in the future.

The town of Presov, Tuhrina and Cervenica are in Slovak Republic. The LDS-Mormons website is listing church records of Presov, Tuhrina and Cervenica. You can order them and gather ancestral information.

Surname PASTERNAK shows up in town of Presov's phone book.

Hale,
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp
(LDS-FHLC) listing R.Cath Church records for Vorosvagas.
For other religions you have to look at the following place names: Gr.Cath.=Vargony, Evang.=Ofalu(a.k.a.Sarosofalu), Izr.=Lemes
I attached here an other early 1900s map of Hungary, recently redrawn from original, including the area you're interested in.

HaleRickman: Re: Ruckman
Zlatica-
I will have to try to contact the Pasternak's in Presov, to see if they are my "cousins"
I will try to get the records from the LDS-Mormons website, and thanks for the other links.
