Hallo,

I am looking for Karl Tenzer, his wife Lilly Tenzer born Salzer 21.03.1921 in Ilava, Slovakia (after the war was her name Livia Solar) and the son Georg (Durko) Tenzer.

They immigrated to Israel 1948 from Slovakia. Karl Tenzer worked by JOINT in Jerusalem. Their Address in Israel was: Shikun Katamon Alef Nr.86 in Jerusalem.

Lilly's parents were Albert Salzer ( 18.02.1885 in Zitna ) and Fanny Salzer ( born Deutelbaum 01.01.1884 in Horna Breznica , Slovakia) .

I am Peter Salzer from Banovce nad Bebravou ( Slovakia ) and I can remember we visited my father's cousin Albert in Dolna Breznica.

Please answer.

Salzer: Salzer from Slovakia Zitna-Radisa

Wer kann mir sagen, woher kam meine Familie nach Zitna-Radisa. Mein Urgrossvater Israel starb hier im Jahre 1886. Woher hatten sie den Namen Ssalzer angenommen?

Hello,
I am looking for Edward Salzer, b. March 1853. Married to Paulina Karl? in 1877. Both immigrated to USA in 1882. Children: Julius Bruno, Edith, Edward, Albert (my grandfather) Rosa, Hulda. (just what I remember without looking at the sheet). I haven't been able to find anything before they immigrated. Edwards brothers were I believe Julius , Otto and one other. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't have any idea. I have posted both Ancestry, which is where my tree is as well as Genforum, also my Heritage where I have my ttee posted again. I don't know from where. One place says Germany. It has been passed own that they were from Hungary, but didn't say where.
I've gotten a lot from Ancestry but nothing ever showing where they came from. I do know that Edward immegrated with Pauline from Germany/Hungary?

Have you checked in Germans to America? Any young children came with them that they would be naturalized after 1906? Sometimes the neighbors and the godparents's surnames are a clue as to the location.
Germany/Hungary could be anywhere now.

Örülök, hogy a Salzer család neve is felkerült a keresendők listájára. Kb. 1 hónappal ezelőtt tudtam meg, hogy az üknagymamám Salzer Karolina. Egyelőre adatokat még nem sikerült szereznem róla, mert nyári szabadság miatt az egyházi anyakönyveket nem sikerült megszereznem. Férje:Göttinger József volt. Miskolcon éltek. A lányuk 1859- 1936 között élt. Neve:Irma volt. Szívesen fogadnék információkat. Evamaria

A miskolci evangélikus plébánián kutattam a felmenőimet. Az anyakönyvekben több Salzer nevűre bukkantam Ők a XIX. sz.-ban éltek. Johannes Salzer sz.:1812. jún. 28. Miskolc.Matild Salzer sz.:1819. Miskolc,Friderich Salzer, valószínűleg az 1700-as évek végén született. A lánya Karolina Salzer sz: 1830.jan.8. Miskolc.Közreadom, hátha valaki keresi őket. Evamaria

Peter, this is very interesting. My great-grandmother was born in Velke Lovce (Ujlot) as Regina Keval in 1874. She married Samuel Blum from Preselany. They had a son Julius Blum (born 1896) who married Janka Lederer. Janka Lederer's mother, i.e. my other great-grandmother's maiden name was Francisca Singer (born 1885) who came from Farkas which i believe is Dvorany nad Nitrou (Farkasudvar).
